June 29/30 Portrait Sittings for July 10 Trampoline Hall

If you came and sat for a portrait, all you have to do is come to the show on July 10. (Sneaky Dee's, Doors 7:40, show 8:00 sharp). You don't need to show a ticket or anything - your face will be on the poster.

The next Trampoline Hall is on July 10, 2006. Here are the lecturers:

      1) Tom Kerr speaks about Canadian superheroes in American comics
      2) Nenad Jovanovic discusses flea circuses, both real and fraudulent
      3) Roxana Vahed asks why we draw hearts the way we do

For this show only, we are instituting a special ticketing system. Tickets will not be available at Soundscapes, and there will be no tickets sold at the door.

Instead, Lee Towndrow will set up a photo portrait studio at the Katharine Mulherin’s Bus Gallery (1080 Queen St. West). The ticket price will include a portrait sitting with Lee. All the portraits will be assembled into a poster depicting everyone at the show, which will be available at the event.

Tickets for this show will be $13, which includes admission to the show, the portrait sitting, and a copy of the poster. The raised ticket price reflects the increased cost of putting together this show and printing the posters. We return to our usual ticketing method in August.

There are two ways to get a ticket.

1) You can call our reservation line on Thursday June 29, between 1:00 and 2:00 in the afternoon, and book a sitting. The benefits of booking are that you are assured a ticket, and it helps us organize the event better. The phone number to call (there was a typo in eye weekly) is: 416-536-0797.

2) You can simply go down to our portrait studio during studio hours, and wait to get your picture taken. We don’t expect the wait to be too long, and the sitting will only take about five minutes. If you are traveling from a distance, do call 416-536-0797. We will be leaving a recorded message at that number to let you know whether tickets (and sittings) are still available.

** UPDATE: As of Friday evening, the show is sold out. There are no walk-in tickets available this afternoon. We do expect that a few people with appointments won't make it. If these spots open up, we will sell any remaing spaces at 9:30. There will be no walk-in tickets for sale before 9:30.

Thursday June 29; 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Friday June 30; 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
